Advanced Driving Can Reduce Car Accident Compensation Payouts
The simple truth is that if more drivers had some sort of have advanced driver training, car accident compensation payouts can be greatly reduced. How can that be possible? First let's define what an advanced driving is.
The definition of advanced driving is the ability to control the position and speed of a vehicle systematically, safely and smoothly at all times. With existing road and traffic conditions it works really well and it allows reasonable progress to be made with responsibility and off course skill. It needs a knowledgeable, courteous, positive and all-around good attitude. It creates a high standard of driving competence which is based on effective all-round observations, concentration, planning and anticipation. It is also a must that these aspects must be coordinated with excellent handling skills. To put it all is simpler terms, advanced driving is a way of approaching and dealing with all hazards. It should be done in a safe and methodical manner and leaves absolutely nothing at all to chance. The one overriding aim that it has is to give a driver enough time to react and to deal with the situation safely no matter what the circumstances are. There is a system which is known as System of Car Control and this is what advanced driving is based on. It is defined as a system or drill with each feature considered in sequence while approaching any hazard. To put it another way, the vehicle must always be in the correct lateral position on the road, at the right time, with the correct gear engaged, while travelling at the correct speed but always able to stop in a safe manner while being in a distance that can be seen to be clear. You can define a hazard as anything that may cause a driver to change speed or alter his or her course. These hazards can include features such as curves in the road, intersections, other pedestrians and vehicles. They can also include less obvious things such as a very minor movement of the vehicle sideways with the intention of avoiding perhaps a small object on the road surface. So, keeping that definition in mind, a great many car accidents are just that, accidents. They are usually caused by some unforeseen obstacle on the road, a sudden stop in traffic ahead, a tyre blow-out or some other minor vehicle malfunction which causes the driver to loose control of the vehicle and ending up in a car crash. Sometimes a car can just loose traction on the road causing it to skid left or right but if the driver has taken an advanced driving course of some type, he would know how to correct that and gain control of the vehicle before it collides with another vehicle, perhaps a stationary object or a pedestrian. With a new or experienced driver taking an advanced driving course, yes, getting lawyers involved and car accident compensation payouts can be greatly reduced. |
